Comfortable and stylish clothes made for feeling put together on the plane.

FlightWear is a small, founder-led brand. All the pieces are made in Melbourne, which means greater oversight and final production sits under Australian workplace laws and local manufacturing standards. The brand also says it works with Australian-owned businesses throughout its supply chain where possible.
FlightWear uses lower impact materials where possible. Current garments include cotton, linen and bamboo viscose blends, with corozo nut buttons used instead of plastic buttons on some styles. Although their cardigans are made from mainly polyester, so the range is not fully natural fibre-based. Materials are listed for every piece, so you can make your own informed decision.
The range is designed with capsule dressing in mind. Pieces are made to be mixed, matched and reworn, with mostly neutral wardrobe staples with pops of colour. This supports a slower approach to fashion
The garments are made in Melbourne, which can reduce the transport footprint compared with offshore manufacturing. FlightWear also says its local manufacturer allows small minimum order quantities, which can help reduce overproduction and fabric waste.
Packaging is considered. FlightWear uses compostable mailing satchels and 100% recycled card for thank-you postcards. It also says a percentage of profits will go towards bird conservation organisations.
FlightWear is still a very small brand, so there is limited public detail on its broader environmental impact. It will be worth watching how its sustainability approach develops as the brand grows.
FlightWear’s current pieces do not appear to use animal-derived materials, but the brand does not clearly state that it is vegan.
Birds are a strong part of the brand’s identity, from the colour palettes to the founder’s background as a bird keeper. FlightWear also says a percentage of profits will go towards bird conservation organisations.
