Curvature

Bold clothing designed specifically for curves

Made in Australia
Made to Order
Curvature is an Australian slow-fashion label, with an inclusive size range. Their aesthetic is bold and confident and they’re known for their bright dresses and tops. With many styles allowing customers to customise details like dress length, sleeves, and neckline. They offer both standard sizing and made to order. And operate on a pre-order basis to minimise excess stock and waste. Curvature makes all of its clothing locally, in Adelaide.

Meet the Founder(s)

Lisa Reiner started Curvature because of her frustration with the poor, uninspired options available in plus-size fashion. She didn’t come from a traditional fashion background, having previously worked in social work, including in prisons, before deciding to create something of her own. What began as a side project quickly grew through her strong connection with customers online. She shares the process openly on Instagram and TikTok to bring people behind the scenes. That direct, community-led approach still shapes the brand today.

Brand Values

People

Curvature manufactures locally in Adelaide, with garments cut and sewn by professional makers who the brand says are paid fairly. Both made-to-order pieces and core collections are produced in-house, supporting local jobs and allowing for closer oversight of production. Although there is limited information on the wider supply chain

Curvature is rated “Good” by Good On You for people.

Environment

Curvature’s strongest environmental focus is its made-to-order model. The brand works on a pre-order and limited drops model. They only produce what is ordered, which helps reduce overproduction and excess waste. The brand places a clear focus on quality and pieces designed to be worn often and for longer.

Materials are mostly natural fibres, including cotton, Tencel (wood pulp) and linen. These are generally lower impact materials. Although there is no clear overall materials policy or breakdown shared at a brand level. There is limited information on their suppliers and their environmental standards.

Local production in Adelaide also reduces transport distances compared to offshore manufacturing, which can help lower the overall footprint.

Animals

Curvature does not appear to use animal-derived materials, but it does not explicitly position itself as a vegan brand.
